Knitting has always been a joy in Vilma's life. She finds she's a happier person when she has a project
to focus on and relax with. “There have been periods in my life when I took breaks from knitting.
When I return to it, I am in awe at how much knitting fills my soul. How do people live without
knitting?” Vilma is mother to four children ages 14 to 30 and finds her job as an apartment manager
perfect for a knitter – she can answer a call in the midst of a row!

"I love top-down knitted sweaters, because I can really
get the size and style I want. I used the free pattern called
Picovoli
from Grumperina as the basis for this
tee. The yarn is my favorite cotton of all time - Pima Cotton & Silk
from Misti Alpaca. It's smooth, drapes well, feels light and isn't
splitty." |

"The Open Cardi
is one that I've been wearing all of the time. The Classic Silk yarn
keeps it's shape. It has a soft hand
even though it has a raw silk look. I'll have this cardigan for
years -- it's so versatile!" |

"Classic Silk
is soft even though it’s got that rough silk look, a joy to work
with and the versatility of this sweater means you can dress it up or down and it’s
the comfiest." |
