Meet Our Great Staff

Stephanie Steinhaus
|
Stephanie's grandmother taught her to knit and crochet when she was 10, as they traveled on the subway
from Brooklyn to Manhattan. Her first scarf was completed following a performance by the New York City
Ballet, forever cementing her love for knitting, NYC, the ballet and her grandmother - all in one fell
swoop. As Unwind's owner, Stephanie finds nothing more wonderful than passing on the art of knitting
and crochet to others.

Krista Ann |
Krista Ann moved to Southern California from Arizona in 1999. She has
always been crafty and grew up beading and scrapbooking with her
mother and grandmother. Around the end of 2003 a friend suggested
they take a knitting class...it was all downhill from there! Krista
has been knitting non-stop ever since and she even got her mom and
grandmother back into knitting (they hadn't knit in over 30 years!).
She is currently in school working towards her teaching credential and
uses knitting as a way to relax (and an excuse not to study!). She
was a longtime customer of Unwind, but needed a job to balance out her
yarn addiction. Now she loves being at a place where she gets to talk
about one of her biggest passions - yarn!!! She enjoys knitting
everything from scarves to coats as well as working on her own
designs. Her knitting motto is: "You can never have too much yarn,
> only too few places to hide it!" Her boyfriend's motto is "Stop with
the knitting, start with the studying!" |
